Turínská hardcore kapela Woptime vznikla v roce 1999 a tohle je už jejich asi čtvrtá nahrávka, po několika mini CD a živáku ale první regulérní studiová nahrávka. Tvrdé muzice dominuje především drsný hluboký hlas zpěváka, zvuku není co vytknout. Songů je celkem 9, nejvíc se mi líbí asi úvodní Vendetta, ve které je italština fakt ultra cantare, stejně jako ve válu Anthem. Jsou tady i tři anglicky zpívané písně, což je sice výhoda, nešlape to ale tak jak s italštinou.

Při čtení některých textů chápu, proč je kapela označovaná za "Mafia-thug-core". Například vál Il Crimine Paga je ve zkratce o tom, jak je zupr semtam něco vyloupit, prodávat tuny koksu a znásilňovat kurvy. Jsou tady ale i jiný témata - Bloody Friends, Giustizia, La Fine Del Mondo. V bookletu jsou i texty naštěstí včetně anglických překladů, plus pár fotek chlupatejch taliánů z koncertu, pokud by vám nestačily, na CD najdete dalších 20 černobílých fotek. Jinak příležitost poslechnout si Woptime naživo (spolu s Bloodline) byste měli mít v září ve Vyškově. Cipísek

Torino hardcore band Woptime was formed in 1999 and this is, I believe, their 4th release overall, yet still a debut album after a serie of MCDs and a live CD. Really heavy music dominated by rough deep voice of the vocalist, nothing to complain of, speaking about the sound. There are 9 songs in total on this CD, personally my favourites are Vendetta and Anthem. Italian vocals fits the angry music really great, three songs sung in English don't sound so good, although it is a language advantage for a non-italian listener. Reading the lyrics, I understand, why the band is referred to as "Mafia-thug-core". In the song Il Crimine Paga they are telling us that hardly anything can be better than robbing, dealing drugs and exploiting bitches, which leads to champagne baths and loads of money. Booklet includes all lyrics (and their English translations), as well as some good gig photos. You can find 20 more hi resolution b/w photos on the CD.
